A: First of all, you should make sure to put a primer on first. Primers help create a smooth canvas for makeup and it will make your foundation last longer. If you have oily skin you should use a powder foundation because it’s more mattifying (will adsorb the oil on your face.) If you have dry skin, you want a moisture-packed foundation that won’t cake up. Liquids or creams work best. If you have combination skin, try a mineral powder or an oil-free liquid. If you’re only oily in your T-zone, a liquid foundation and a light mattifying powder over top should do the trick.
Here are some product recommendations!
Dry skin: Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Foundation and Hourglass No. 28 Primer.
Oily skin: Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation and Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer.
Combination skin: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and Laura Mercier Foundation Primer.
