One of our customers asked us to break down the differences between all of Laura Mercier’s foundations. So here we go!

smooth finish foundation powderA second-skin, oil-free powder foundation that can be used wet or dry. Good for all skin types.

suprême foundationA lightweight, hydrating foundation that provides medium-to-full coverage to minimize the signs of aging. Ideal for drier skin types.

tinted moisturizer – Hydrates skin and softens fine lines with a sheer hint of color for a healthy, dewy glow.  Good for all skin types. If you have an oilier complexion, use the oil-free version.

mineral powderLong-wearing, water-resistant, highly pigmented mineral loose powder that provides sheer-to-medium buildable coverage. Good for all skin types.

silk crème foundationA rich, long-wear foundation that gives skin a professional, full-coverage finish. Optimal for anyone seeking a full coverage option, but it’s also oil-free.

crème smooth foundation –  A modern, lightweight foundation that floats over skin without visibly settling into fine lines. Ideal for drier skin types.

throwback beauty: lana turner

lana turner

We love this shot of Lana Turner from the 1940′s. It epitomizes who she was; a movie star. Lana’s look here is classic of that era; flawless skin, minimal eyemakeup, filled-in brows and bold lips.

“I’d rather lose a good earring, than be caught without makeup.” – Lana Turner
