makeup tip: damp skin

January 28, 2014

apply creams

This time of year moisturizing isn’t an option, it’s a necessity. For best results, apply creams and moisturizers after you shower because when your skin is damp it’s more absorbent.

makeup tip: corners of your eye

January 14, 2014

eyeshadow tip

Wearing eyeshadow on the inner corner of your eye reflects light and counters the look of fatigue. Try using a light color with shimmer and avoid dark colors. We suggest Laura Mercier’s Caviar Stick in Sugar Frost, Seashell or Pink Opal. They glide on easy and last for hours.

makeup tip: nude & bold

December 31, 2013

nude lips and bold eyes

This week’s makeup tip is perfect for date night. If you’re headed out to dinner, you can’t really rock a bold lip (not food proof). Instead, keep the lips neutral and try a bold eye. It’s a killer combination!

For blue eyes, we love peaches, apricots and browns. Green eyes look fabulous in pinks, burgundy and violet. Brown eyes are enhanced by blue or shades of green and purple.

makeup tip: concealer vs. concealer

December 17, 2013

concealer

Some people don’t realize there is a difference between under eye concealer and blemish concealer, but there is! Each product is made specifically for the area where it’s applied. Under eye concealer is more moisturizing because the skin under the eye is more delicate, while blemish concealer is more drying. If you want to see great results make sure to use the correct product on the right spot!
